We are humbled to play a part in equipping the saints of local church bodies (Ephesians 4:12)--whatever that role looks like. As Igniter Media, we have always produced Mini Movies, and always will. But since last August, we've taken on a additional role. When we made the decision to start including content from other producers on our site, we became more than just a producer--we became a curator.
Curators are the gatekeepers of the collections they assemble. They take care of each item in their collection. They research each piece to make sure it fits. And they present their carefully assembled collection to the public, as if it were there own work.
In our new role, we are committed to 3 main things:
1. Being selective about production and storytelling value.
We would rather have a smaller library of high-quality content than sacrifice quality for a large library. We also like the idea of quality AND quantity. With that in mind, we'll continue to search for and add great content to our library.
2. Making your life as easy as possible.
What good is a library of great content if it's not organized well? We're constantly tweaking--updating keywords, refining our site, and making user experience as smooth as possible. That's why we love being able to offer memberships: they take away one more of the hoops that you, as a purchaser of church media, have to jump through.
3. Being discriminatory about theological content.
Most importantly, we feel a great burden to weigh all of the content we include against God's Word (Titus 1:9, 2:1; 1 Timothy 6:3; 2 Timothy 4:2; 2 Peter 1:20-21). Whenever necessary, we will filter the content on our site so that nothing promotes a misunderstanding of Scripture.
We're extremely grateful that we get to do what we do to equip people like you to better do what you do. And we're extremely excited (as we hope you will be) about how our library is going to continue to change and grow for the better.
